Isn’t that a bit unnecessary though? They’re just trying to relate to something that many people participate in. I’m not Catholic, but I think it’s a legitimately relevant question to pose on the first day of Lent.
I get that, but I felt like they assumed everyone participated in it. Most people don’t. especially on a college environment. They could have said something more, like, “Do you participate in Lent? If so…”
